Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Flowroid (“the App”, “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
These Terms apply alongside Google Play’s Terms of Service and Developer Program Policies. In case of conflict, Google Play’s policies take precedence with respect to app distribution.
Description of the Service
Flowroid is a device automation platform for Android. It lets you create rule-based “flows” that combine triggers (events that start a flow) with actions (tasks the flow performs) and conditions (optional filters). All automation logic runs on your device. Flowroid does not require an account, and your flows, variables and execution logs are not transmitted to us.
The App contacts a server we operate for three purposes: to verify whether this install is within its trial or carries an active entitlement; to answer what you ask the optional AI assistant, if you use it; and to answer the AI steps you place in your flows, each time a flow runs one. Both kinds of AI request are forwarded to Google’s Gemini API to generate a reply. What each exchange contains, and what happens to it, is set out in the Privacy Policy. Your flows run on the device. A flow sends content off it only through a step you add for that purpose: an AI step, or an HTTP request to an address you choose.
Analytics and ad measurement are optional
The App can also send analytics and ad-measurement data to Google, and does so only if you allow it. It asks on first run with every choice switched off, the two choices are independent, and you can withdraw either at any time in Settings → Privacy. Nothing you create is included, nothing is collected before you answer, and the App is identical in every feature and price whatever you choose. Privacy Policy Section 8 is the authoritative description and governs in the event of any difference with this summary.
Flowroid is a paid app with a trial. There are no feature tiers:
- A 14-day trial starts on first launch, with every automation feature available and no payment method required. It also includes the AI assistant with a starter allowance of credits; the allowance is set by us and may change, and automation never depends on it.
- When the trial ends, the App locks until you buy Flowroid.
- Buying Flowroid once unlocks the whole App permanently. Nothing is held back from an owner, there is no higher plan, and no subscription is needed to keep your flows running.
- Flowroid AI is an optional subscription for owners. It carries the AI assistant, AI steps in flows and a monthly allowance of AI credits. It is an add-on to Flowroid, not a way to unlock it (Section 4).
- A one-time unlock purchased before 17 August 2026 is honoured permanently, and a Flowroid Pro subscription bought after it is honoured while it is active (Section 4).
License Grant
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Android devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
- Create derivative works based on the App;
- Distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App to any third party;
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App;
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Buying Flowroid, Flowroid AI and Cancellation
Buying Flowroid: a one-time unlock
After the trial, Flowroid is unlocked by a one-time purchase (product flowroid_unlock) sold through the Google Play Store for $4.99. US pricing. Google Play shows the price in your own currency, and confirms it before you are charged. It is not a subscription: it never renews and is never charged again.
- It covers the whole App — every trigger and action, the HTTP API server, secrets and variables. There are no feature tiers and nothing is held back for a higher plan.
- It is permanent. No subscription is needed to keep your flows running.
- It belongs to the Google account that bought it, not to one handset. Use Restore purchase in the App on any Android device signed into that account, on up to 10 devices. It is shared across your own devices; it is not a licence to distribute the App to other people.
By buying it you agree to Google Play’s billing terms in addition to these Terms.
Flowroid AI: an optional subscription for owners
Flowroid AI is an add-on to Flowroid, not a way to unlock it. It is an auto-renewing subscription (product flowroid_ai) sold through the Google Play Store only to people who own Flowroid; during the trial the App asks you to unlock Flowroid first. It carries the AI assistant, the AI steps in your flows, and a monthly allowance of 750,000 AI credits (Section 5). It is offered on two plans:
- $2.99 / month (
ai-monthly), billed per month. - $24.99 / year (
ai-yearly), billed per year.
US pricing. Google Play shows the price in your own currency, and confirms it before you are charged. What it includes, in the App’s own words:
- 750,000 AI credits a month
- Cancel any time — your flows and the app stay yours
- Credits you buy stay usable after you cancel
- Top-ups available while subscribed
Automatic renewal
What you are agreeing to
A Flowroid AI subscription renews automatically at the end of every billing period, and Google Play charges the payment method on your Google account, until you cancel it. A monthly plan renews every month; a yearly plan renews every year. The renewal price is the price in effect at the time of renewal. The one-time unlock never renews.
How to cancel Flowroid AI
Cancel at any time in Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → Flowroid, or from Settings → License → Manage or cancel in the App, which opens the same screen. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Flowroid AI until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling is not a refund; Google Play does not pro-rate a period you have started.
Cancelling AI never locks the App
If you own Flowroid, cancelling Flowroid AI never locks the app. When the paid period ends, the assistant and AI steps stop and your flows keep running. An AI step with fallback text uses it and the flow carries on; an AI step without fallback text stops with an error the flow can handle. Every other step runs as normal. Credits you bought stay usable after you cancel (Section 5).
Earlier purchases are honoured
The one-time unlock sold before 17 August 2026 (product flowroid_lifetime) was retired from the store on that date. If you bought it, it is honoured permanently: it still unlocks the whole App, on every device signed into the Google account that bought it, and you will never be asked to pay for the App again. It also carries a standing monthly AI allowance (Section 5).
A Flowroid Pro subscription (product flowroid_pro), sold from 17 August 2026 until app version 3.10.0, is honoured but no longer sold. While it is active it keeps the whole App unlocked, with its monthly AI allowance, and it renews and is cancelled in Google Play exactly as described above. When a Flowroid Pro subscription ends, the App locks until you buy the one-time unlock. Your flows are not deleted.
Use Restore purchase in the App if a new install does not recognise an earlier purchase.
Your flows are never deleted
Your flows are never deleted when the App locks. They stay on the device and resume the moment the App is unlocked again.
Billing, and where the price comes from
Google Play handles all billing. We never see or hold your payment details. The price you pay is the localised price Google Play shows and confirms before you are charged; the figures above are the United States list prices and are stated here so the terms are readable, not as the binding amount for your region.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google and are subject to Google Play’s refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, Google notifies us that the order has been voided and what it granted is revoked: a refunded unlock returns the App to its locked state on every device it unlocked, and a refunded Flowroid AI subscription ends its AI allowance.
Price changes
We may change the price of a plan. Google Play notifies existing subscribers of a price increase before it takes effect and asks for your consent where its policies require it; you can always cancel instead. A price change never affects a one-time unlock you have already bought — you paid once, and that stands.
How your entitlement is verified
Your unlock or subscription is verified with Flowroid’s licence server and recorded on your device as a signed licence. If the server is unreachable, the App keeps working on that signed licence until it expires, and renews it automatically once connectivity returns. An owned unlock keeps that licence renewing for good. A Flowroid AI subscription that has lapsed ends AI only; a legacy Flowroid Pro subscription that has lapsed stops renewing the licence, which is what returns the App to its locked state.
Free trial
A 14-day trial starts automatically on first launch, with every automation feature available. The trial requires no payment method and never converts into a charge; we cannot bill you for it, because we never have your payment details.
The trial includes the AI assistant with a starter allowance of credits, so you can see what it does before you decide. The size of that allowance is set by us and may change; it is not part of what a trial entitles you to, and automation never depends on it — your flows keep running at a zero balance, during the trial and after it. The trial allowance does not refill. Flowroid AI is what pays for a recurring monthly allowance (Section 5).
When the trial ends, the App locks until you buy Flowroid (the one-time unlock above). There is no free tier and no reduced mode. Your flows are not deleted: they stay on the device and resume working the moment the App is unlocked.
One trial is available per device, enforced by our licence server. Uninstalling and reinstalling the App, clearing its data, or using Settings → Reset App Data does not start a new trial: the record that tracks it is held on our server, not on your device. The Privacy Policy describes that record and how to have it deleted.
AI: the Assistant, AI Steps and AI Credits
Flowroid offers AI in two optional forms. Neither is needed to automate.
- The AI assistant: you describe what you want in plain language and it runs Flowroid’s own actions and your flows, showing you each step. Anything that changes your device asks for your confirmation first.
- AI steps — Ask AI, Classify with AI, Extract with AI, Summarize with AI and Translate with AI — which you place in a flow. They run whenever the flow runs, with no assistant open, and produce text or data for the next step. They never act on another app, read your screen, or run an action by themselves.
What the assistant is not
The assistant works only with Flowroid’s own action catalog and the flows you have built. It cannot control other apps’ screens, tap inside them, or read what is on your screen. Flowroid has no accessibility service, and no release of it does. It can reply to a notification, or press a button an app put on its notification, through Android’s notification system — only where that app offers the reply box or button, and only after asking you. It is also a machine: replies can be wrong, and you are responsible for what you approve it to run (Section 6).
The included allowance
A Flowroid AI subscription includes a monthly allowance of 750,000 AI credits, which pays for the cloud inference behind the assistant and AI steps. A one-time unlock bought before 17 August 2026 carries a smaller standing monthly allowance, and an active legacy Flowroid Pro subscription carries its own. The allowance resets each billing period and does not roll over: unused credits do not accumulate.
AI steps spend credits each time a flow runs one, like an assistant message. To keep a busy trigger from draining your balance, each flow is limited to a number of AI calls per hour and per day (by default 30 an hour and 200 a day, which you can lower). Running a flow with AI steps by hand asks first, and offers to run it with the AI skipped.
Credit top-ups
You can buy additional credits as consumable in-app products, currently priced at $2.99, $6.99 and $19.99. US pricing. Google Play shows the price in your own currency, and confirms it before you are charged. Top-ups are sold while you have an AI plan: a Flowroid AI subscription, the standing allowance of a one-time unlock bought before 17 August 2026, or an active legacy Flowroid Pro subscription. They are not sold during the trial, or once your AI plan has ended.
- Purchased credits do not expire, and are spent only after the monthly allowance is used up.
- They stay usable after you cancel Flowroid AI: you can spend what you have, but you cannot add more until you resubscribe.
- They belong to your purchase, not to one phone. Every device you restore the purchase on draws from the same balance.
- They are not an entitlement: buying credits does not unlock the App and does not extend or replace a subscription.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Beyond Google Play’s refund policy, which applies to any purchase, there is no separate refund of unused credits — and none of the monthly allowance, which is part of the subscription rather than a thing bought on its own.
Running out of credits
Your automations are never affected
Flows, triggers and actions run at a zero balance, exactly as they do at a full one. Credits pay for AI and nothing else. If they run out, the assistant and AI steps pause — an AI step with fallback text uses it and the flow carries on — and AI comes back on its own when your monthly allowance resets, or immediately if you top up. Those are both real options; you are never required to buy anything to keep automating. If you have cancelled Flowroid AI and spent the credits you bought, the one way back to AI is to subscribe again.
Fair use and acceptable use
AI is rate-limited per entitlement and per flow, and we may apply reasonable limits to protect the service — for instance against automated scripting of the assistant, sharing one entitlement across many people, or reselling access. What you send is also subject to the acceptable-use rules of the provider that answers it (Google’s Gemini API terms). Repeated abuse may result in AI being suspended for that entitlement; that does not affect your automations or the rest of the App.
Availability and change
AI depends on a third-party model provider and on our own service being reachable, so it is offered without a guarantee of availability. We may change the underlying model, the credit weighting, or the size of the included allowance; where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will say so within the App before it takes effect, and you may cancel. Alternatively, you can point Flowroid at a model you host yourself (Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible server) under Settings → AI → Advanced: that route does not use credits and is not metered by us.

User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the automations you create and their consequences. You must not use Flowroid to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Harass, stalk, or harm any person;
- Intercept communications of another person without their consent;
- Access or transmit data you are not authorised to access;
- Conduct or facilitate denial-of-service attacks or other malicious network activity;
- Circumvent security mechanisms of any system;
- Transmit malware, spyware, or any other harmful code.
The embedded HTTP server feature, when enabled, exposes a REST API on your device. You are responsible for securing access to this API and for the actions any client of that API performs.
Automatic replies and button presses act in your name. A flow can reply to another app’s notification or press a button on it, and the assistant can do the same once you approve it. Those replies and presses are sent from your accounts, in your name, to real people. You are responsible for what they say and for complying with each app’s own terms. Flowroid caps how often they fire, but you choose what they say.
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Flowroid, including the software, design, trademarks, and content, are owned by the developer. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you except the limited licence in Section 3.
Flows you create using the App are your own work. You retain full ownership of the automation logic you author.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Google Play Billing — the one-time unlock, the Flowroid AI subscription and credit top-ups.
- Google Play Integrity — confirms a licence request comes from a genuine, unmodified install.
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting for the licence server, the AI proxy and their database, in the europe-west1 region.
- Google — Gemini API — answers the AI assistant and your flows’ AI steps. Used only when you use the assistant or a flow runs an AI step, and subject to Google’s Gemini API terms.
- Google Analytics for Firebase, and Google Ads — product analytics and measurement of the advertising campaigns that bring people to Flowroid. Used only with your consent, per purpose, never carrying anything you created, and never for personalised advertising. See Privacy Policy Section 8.
- Meta (Facebook) App Events — measurement of the Meta advertising campaigns that bring people to Flowroid. Used only with your consent to ad measurement specifically: allowing product analytics alone sends Meta nothing. It never carries anything you created, and Flowroid has no Facebook login or sharing feature. Unlike the services above, Meta is an independent controller of what it receives rather than our processor, so what it holds is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy and we cannot delete it on your behalf. See Privacy Policy Section 8.
- Google Play Services — Location (Geofencing API) — location-based triggers.
- Google Maps SDK for Android — map display in the geofence editor.
The two measurement services are optional and off by default. What each one receives, who controls it afterwards, and how to turn either off is set out in the Privacy Policy; the switches are in Settings → Privacy.
These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
The HTTP Request action allows your automations to communicate with any third-party web service you configure. We are not responsible for the availability, terms, or data practices of those services.
That list is the App’s, which is what these Terms govern. This website is a separate thing and measures separately: it uses one service of its own — cookieless analytics that counts page views, sets no cookie, is never used for advertising, and knows nothing about you or your automations. It is a different collector from the App’s, and it is described in full, with the switch to turn it off, in Privacy Policy Section 12.
Google Play App Signing
Flowroid is enrolled in Google Play App Signing. By installing the App from Google Play, you acknowledge that:
- Google holds a signing key for the App under the Play App Signing Terms of Service. Google re-signs the App’s APK before delivery to your device.
- The upload key (used to submit the App to Google Play) is separate from the delivery signing key held by Google.
- This arrangement is standard for Play-distributed apps and ensures the integrity of the App you download.
Export Compliance
Scope
This section applies to users in the United States and to any users who export or re-export the App under US law.
Flowroid incorporates encryption technology, specifically:
- AES-256 via the Android Keystore (used for secret variable encryption);
- Standard TLS/HTTPS for outbound HTTP requests.
These cryptographic functions use standard, publicly available algorithms and are implemented entirely through the Android platform APIs. Under US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), this encryption qualifies for License Exception ENC (15 C.F.R. § 740.17) for mass-market consumer software.
By using or distributing the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are not located in, or a national or resident of, any country subject to a US Government embargo or listed on the US Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals list, including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
- You are not listed on any US Government denied-party list.
- You will not use, export, re-export, or transfer the App in violation of any US export law or regulation.
If you are uncertain about whether your use complies with US export laws, consult the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) at www.bis.doc.gov or seek qualified legal advice.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Android platform restrictions, device-manufacturer battery-optimisation policies, or changes to Google Play Services may affect the reliability of automations; we cannot guarantee that every trigger will fire or every action will complete on every device.
Certain actions (screen lock, Bluetooth toggle, system settings) require specific device capabilities and permissions. Their availability varies by Android version and device manufacturer. The App discloses known limitations within the relevant flow templates.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
THE DEVELOPER’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS OR RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party right, or any automation you create that causes harm to a third party.
Termination
The licence granted in Section 3 runs for as long as you are entitled to the App. For a one-time unlock — the current one, or one bought before 17 August 2026 — the licence is perpetual: there is no term to expire and no renewal to withhold. For a legacy Flowroid Pro subscriber it is the paid period, renewed each time Google Play renews the subscription; it ends when the subscription lapses or you cancel and the paid period runs out (Section 4). A Flowroid AI subscription is not a licence to the App: ending it ends AI, not the licence.
We may revoke your entitlement, returning the App to its locked state, only if you materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 14 days of written notice, or if the purchase is refunded or charged back as described in Section 4. You may cancel at any time in Google Play, and you may stop using the App by uninstalling it; neither entitles you to a refund of a period already charged, which remains subject to Google Play’s refund policy. Ending a subscription does not delete your flows — they stay on your device.
App Updates
We may issue updates to the App via Google Play to add features, fix bugs, or address security issues. We recommend keeping automatic updates enabled. Some updates may be required to continue using the App. We reserve the right to discontinue support for older versions.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the developer’s jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction in the developer’s location.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
- Changes. We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified within the App. Continued use after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance.
